Being in a Group is an Incredible Way to Grow
Being in a group is incredible for growth. In simple and profound ways.
Last weekend, I Ied another training about all things meditation + breath. Meaning, I spent the weekend immersed in study myself, with some wise leaders. I’m pretty excited about the direction this industry is headed. Over the last 4 years, I’ve noticed a gradual shift when this community comes together. My lens has been shifting, and it seems it has been for many others too. These days when we meet, all I see in the viewfinder is tender love and care.
In group settings, we face mirrors and the law of attraction. What is reflected always hits deep. I pay attention to who shows up around me. I've learned that everyone is a mirror to support my growth. Of course, it’s not all fuzzy feelings and ecstatic dancing. Being in groups has tested me. What I've noticed is that when I’m with others, my connection to myself and to my own heart must be even stronger. At the root of it, being in groups has taught me to care more.
Although I've always been honest and worn my heart on my sleeve, guiding with care has taken time. Leading from a space of care has arrived out of patience, fine tuning communication skills, reparenting myself and letting others be themselves. Letting myself be a student as well as the facilitator has been a journey of humility and forgiveness. Fundamentally, teaching groups shows me again & again to get out of my head and into my heart. And now I see reflected around me, only those who want to care more too.
My intentions are simple. I simply keep learning from others about the heart.
More care is possible. I send it out and know it comes back through you all, growing outwards in all directions. It’s never too much. When in doubt, care more.
When your care feels unreachable, connect with us and fill yourself up. We are here. To last weekend’s beautiful expression of what’s possible when we open our hearts and to many more ahead…
Thank you thank you xo
